LULAH FILMS is an independent female-led production company BASED IN Jacksonville, Florida.

We make character-driven films about real places, real people, and the stories that don't get told.

Who we are?

Founded by writer, producer, and actor Michelle Calloway in 2020, Lulah Films develops and produces independently financed feature films and short films rooted in the American South.

Our films have screened at festivals across three continents — from Venice to Beijing to London — and have earned awards including Best Actress at the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles, the Platinum Award for Best Experimental Short, and Best Short at the Golden Isles Film Festival.

We have received grant support from the City of Jacksonville, the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, Film Florida, Art Ventures, and Community First Foundation.

Our debut feature film, Blue Healer, is currently in pre-production. A narrative drama set in Jacksonville and based on real events, it is the next chapter in a body of work built from the ground up — independently, honestly, and without compromise.
